Criminal Department Attorney
Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria LLP is seeking an Attorney to join its Criminal Department.
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of criminal law; analytical, communication and negotiation skills; a comprehensive understanding of compassion and empathy; initiative. Must be an effective at communicating complex information; an ability to prioritize and meet multiple and competing deadlines; and be detailed oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior Criminal Department attorneys.
- Interview clients in various settings, e.g., offices, jails, detention centers, hospitals.
- Review discovery and evidence
- Schedule court appearances.
- Participate in plea negotiations.
- Attend conferences, hearings and trials in Federal & state courts.
- Interact with State & Federal prosecutors.
- Draft legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
- Handle all aspects of litigation for criminal cases.
Compensation:
- $95,000 – $115,000 annually, depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed in New York State to practice law.
- At least 2-3 years of experience performing Criminal law.
