Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria’s Management Committee is comprised of Mr. Covert and Mr. Manna, along with James T. Scime, Michael Schiavone, and Thomas M. Mercure. The Management Committee has a vast range of responsibilities, which includes oversight of the vision, operations, and administrative functions of the firm.
Barry N. Covert joined Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria in 1990. He focuses his practice on representing defendants in complex litigation matters before federal and state courts involving White-Collar Criminal Defense, Violent Crime Defense, Zoning and Land Use Litigation, Professional Misconduct, Constitutional Law, Commercial Litigation, Cyber-Crimes, Title IX, Qui Tam Act, and Scientific Misconduct. Mr. Covert is President of The First Amendment Lawyers Association. He is consistently named to the legal industry’s leading peer recognition publications, including The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. Mr. Covert earned a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a B.A., cum laude, from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
Joseph J. Manna joined Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria in 2006. He focuses his practice on representing victims of serious personal injuries, including medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, and construction worker injury cases, as well as business litigation, primarily involving construction disputes. Mr. Manna is President of the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. He is consistently named to the legal industry’s leading peer recognition publications, including The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. Mr. Manna earned a J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law, and a B.S., cum laude, from the State University of New York at Oswego.
