Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria LLP is proud to announce that Christopher S. Mattingly has been elected President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), New York Chapter. Mr. Mattingly will be the youngest person to serve as President of AAML’s New York Chapter.
The New York Chapter of AAML is comprised of the state’s top divorce and family law attorneys. Founded in 1962, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers is committed to encouraging the study, improving the practice, elevating the standards, and advancing the cause of matrimonial law, in order to better protect the welfare of American families. Membership in the AAML requires testing, peer review, review by judges, and recognition as a first-rate matrimonial lawyer.
Mr. Mattingly is a Senior Partner in Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria’s Matrimonial and Family Law Department. He is a trial attorney with experience in numerous divorce matters in New York State Supreme Court including matters of equitable distribution of property, business evaluations, evaluation of educational degrees, child custody, visitation and child support.
Prior to being elected President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, New York Chapter – Mr. Mattingly served as the organization’s Treasurer. In addition to AAML, Mr. Mattingly’s leadership roles within the legal community includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Erie County Bar Association, is a
current member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and past chairman of the Bar Association of Erie County (BAEC) Matrimonial & Family Law Committee.
Mr. Mattingly has earned many distinctions from his peers in the legal community including being named to The Best Lawyers in America, New York Super Lawyers (Upstate Edition), and Business First/Buffalo Law Journal’s Who’s Who in Law for Family Law.
