The John T. Curtin Profiles in Courage award, which is presented by the Bar Association of Erie County, recognizes a distinguished practitioner who “exemplifies the same moral courage and sense of justice that Judge Curtin brought to the bench every day.” Judge Curtin is celebrated for the significant and innumerable contributions he made to the Western District of New York throughout his 49-year career. Nominations for the award are made by the membership of the Bar Association of Erie County as well as other organizations.
Herbert L. Greenman is a Senior Partner at Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria. For over 40 years, Mr. Greenman has concentrated his practice in the area of Criminal Defense; with extensive experience in matters including criminal trials, criminal appeals, constitutional law, narcotic cases, and search & seizure. Mr. Greenman is often called upon to speak as a guest lecturer on criminal defense matters. He has won a number of the industry’s most prestigious recognitions including being named Best Lawyers in America’s “Lawyer of the Year’, AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, as well as being named to Super Lawyers Top 50 and other peer recognition publications.
